This Kente Cloth is called Sika Futuro which translates to Gold Dust. It was created for a King who wanted to be clothed in gold. Because it would be impractical to wear gold, the weaver who created this design weaved gold threads into the pattern. This kente cloth, which can take a Master Weaver up to 4 hours to weave by hand, is rich in meaning and symbolism - carrying a pattern and design that has been passed on for hundreds of years.
