Louis Poulsen releases mini version of 1971 Panthella lamp

Design Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen PH Artichoke Ø480 Stainless Steel was designed by Poul Henningsen in 1958. He was tasked with designing a pendant for Langelinie Pavillonen in Copenhagen, specifically to create something entirely glare-free. His genius solution was to distribute 72 leaves across 12 rows, creating a light that doesn’t glare no matter the angle. The pendant is now considered a design icon.

Today the AJ family is regarded as the design that the Danish architect is best known for all over the world. At that time the AJ family comprised a table and a floor lamp as well as a wall lamp a small table lamp and a table lamp that was designed to attach to the table. The wall lamp could be found in beautiful rows in stainless steel in the lobby when the hotel was opened in 1960.
